Trust and safety
How Care4AU approaches safety and verification
Care4AU is an independent directory. A profile can help you start a conversation, but it is not a recommendation, endorsement, quality rating or guarantee that a service is suitable or available.
What profile labels mean
Unclaimed
The provider has not claimed or taken control of this Care4AU profile. We may have used public business or regulator information. Details can change, so check the provider’s own current information before making a decision.
Claimed by the provider
A provider representative has claimed the profile and can manage its details. Claiming a profile does not mean Care4AU has audited, approved or endorsed the provider.
Source checked
Care4AU reviewed the linked public source on the date shown. Where a registration is listed, follow the profile’s link to the relevant official register and check the status, registration groups or scope, and date for yourself. A register entry describes the information recorded at that time; it does not confirm a provider’s current capacity, suitability, service quality or eligibility for funding under your individual plan.
What Care4AU checks, and what it cannot confirm
When preparing an unclaimed profile, we look for a provider-controlled website and a public business contact. We record sources and check dates where available. Public information can be incomplete or out of date.
Unless a profile says otherwise, Care4AU has not independently inspected a provider’s worker screening, insurance, policies, service quality, prices, waitlist or current availability. We do not assess whether a provider is the right choice for a particular person.
Questions to ask before choosing a provider
- Do you offer the support I need in my area, and who would provide it?
- When could support begin, and do you have a waitlist?
- Which funding arrangements do you accept, and what will I pay?
- Are there travel, cancellation or other charges?
- What screening, insurance and service-agreement information can you provide?
- How can I choose communication, language and appointment preferences?
- How do I raise a concern or change my support?
Take time to compare answers and choose at your own pace. Sending a request through Care4AU is free and does not commit you to a provider.
Correct a profile or report a concern
Providers can claim a Care4AU listing or request a correction. Anyone can report a concern if information appears inaccurate or unsafe. We review reports and may update or remove information when appropriate.
Care4AU does not replace professional advice or emergency services. The directory is growing and does not include every provider or service. Read our provider quality and listing standards, or send a free support request when you are ready.
