How to improve your provider profile
A useful provider profile helps participants, families and support coordinators decide whether to ask you a question. Clear, current information reduces avoidable calls and sets realistic expectations. Care4AU does not endorse a provider or guarantee enquiries, so write in plain language and make it easy for people to verify details.
Describe the service in everyday terms
Explain what support you provide, who may benefit, where it is delivered and what is outside the service. Name the specific service types and avoid broad claims such as “all support” unless you can explain what that means. Include any important eligibility, referral or assessment steps without promising funding or outcomes.
Make location and availability specific
List suburbs, regions or travel boundaries you actually cover. State whether appointments are in-home, community-based, clinic-based or by telehealth if offered. Keep waitlist and capacity information current, and say when you last updated it. If capacity changes, update the profile or contact Care4AU.
Help people assess fit
Include relevant professional registration, qualifications, experience, languages, accessibility options, communication formats and worker continuity information. Be precise about registration: name the register or scheme and scope, and link directly to the official record where appropriate. A Care4AU profile does not itself verify every credential.
Explain costs and contact steps
Where possible, explain how people can obtain a written quote and what may affect costs, such as travel, cancellations or after-hours work. Identify funding arrangements you can work with, while reminding users to check their own eligibility and plan rules. Include a provider-controlled website and public business email; a business phone number can be included if you choose. Do not use temporary hosting URLs or personal contact details you do not want public.
Keep trust information current
Review the profile whenever services, locations, contacts, registration, availability or fees change. Respond to corrections promptly and provide a clear way for people to raise concerns. Never include participant information, testimonials or images without appropriate permission.
Request or update a profile through the provider application form, review listing standards and check current plan availability. During early access, basic profile requests are free and paid plans are not open for purchase.
